Donating Breastmilk

Ways to Donate
Personal – The mama who is donating knows the baby in need either personally or through a friend/family member and delivers it straight to the baby in need (personally or by mail)

Informal – The mama who is donating uses a foundation to find a baby in need and then delivers it straight to the baby in need (personally or by mail)

Formal – The mama who is donating donates her milk to a milk bank that then sells it to the baby in need

Donation Foundations
The following programs do not charge the recipients for the donated milk. They simply help you find babies in need.

Human Milk 4 Human Babies Global Network (Global Network page, has programs worldwide)

Milk Banks
The following programs charge the recipients for the donated milk, anywhere from a one-time $15 fee to $5 an ounce, however no compensation goes to the donor.

*They also pasteurize and screen the milk, which has been proven to lead to the destruction of enzymes in the milk.
