I've been rather quiet here, so that everyone can easily find and enter the giveaways. But I'm wondering how everyone feels about all this. I'm sure we've all seen it by now.
We think that it's great someone who is constantly looked at as more of a goddess than a person is helping normalize breastfeeding. Maybe it will help some people realize that it's not just a thing that the poor or third world countries do, as some haters say.
But I also read an article today that said when her baby was born she went as far as to say that *gasp* mothers should legally have to breastfeed their babies for the first six months. Now, do we think it should be a law? No, simply because we do understand that there are exceptional challenges. But then, maybe the law could have a clause for those mamas and they could exclusively use donor milk.
What do you think?
Do you agree with her, that the government should step in for the overall health of the country and mandate 6 months of breastfeeding?
OR
Is that letting the government just a little too far into our homes and giving them too much power over our bodies and personal choices?
